NIKOLSKI — The ash cloud reported Friday from Cleveland Volcano was dissipated on Saturday, according to the Alaska Volcano Observatory. The 5,676-foot volcano on Chuginadak Island in the Aleutians had a plume of ash about 20,000 feet high, and the observatory has upgraded its alert for aviation and nearby communities, which include Nikolski and Dutch Harbor.
